One outdoor unit that cools your home in summer and heats it efficiently through spring, fall and the milder part of winter. It is installed with an indoor air handler that has electric backup heat, which adds heat on the coldest days when the heat pump cannot keep up, so the house stays warm without a gas furnace.

Who pays for repairs
Repairs are the part nobody budgets for. This is the real difference between renting and owning.
Breakdowns, parts and service calls, for the whole plan, apart from the exceptions in the rental agreement such as damage or misuse. Then it is yours to keep.
Covered by the manufacturer’s warranty from day one, on the manufacturer’s terms, once you register it. Add Arctic Protect and we cover breakdowns for 5 years, up to the plan’s limits.
Manufacturer warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and shown in the specifications below. On a rental, Arctic registers the manufacturer warranty for you; if you buy, you register it with the manufacturer yourself, and we give you the model and serial numbers. Arctic Protect is $14.99 a month plus HST on a purchase and covers breakdowns for 5 years.

Single-stage scroll compressor (on or off at full capacity). Sound rating 74 dBA. Uses R-454B, the newer lower-GWP refrigerant; the indoor unit needs a refrigerant detection system. Installed with an indoor air handler with electric backup heat, which supplements the heat pump in very cold weather and during defrost. Lennox does not publish a low-temperature heating limit for this model.

Fine print
- Your monthly rental adjusts once a year, on the anniversary of your install. Increases are nominal in nature and tied to CPI and Arctic’s annual surcharge. - The 30-day trial applies to rentals only. Financed and outright purchases do not include a trial. The 30 days run from the day your equipment is installed, not from the day you order, and the trial does not apply to new home installations arranged through a builder, where the equipment comes to you through your Agreement of Purchase and Sale. - The buy-out price follows a fixed schedule set on the day you sign: a percentage of the installed price for each year of the term, never below the minimum in your schedule, plus HST.
