We do not price water treatment from a catalogue, because the right system depends on what is actually in your water. Most of the GTA has hard water, but hardness, iron, sediment and taste all vary street to street. So we test first, then recommend, then quote.
1We test your water, either from a sample or at the house.
2We tell you which system you actually need, and which you do not.
3You get a written quote, with install included.
What we install
Four kinds of system, and most homes need one or two of them rather than all four.
Water softener
White crust on the kettle and the shower head, soap that will not lather, laundry that feels stiff.
Removes the calcium and magnesium that make water hard, before it reaches your taps and appliances.
Worth it when: Most of the GTA sits on hard water, so this is the one that helps the largest number of homes. It also protects a water heater, which is the appliance hard water wears out first.
Reverse osmosis drinking water
Tap water that tastes of chlorine, or a household buying bottled water.
A dedicated tap at the kitchen sink that pushes water through a fine membrane, taking out dissolved solids the other filters leave behind.
Worth it when: Drinking and cooking water. It treats one tap rather than the whole house, which is why it is usually paired with a softener rather than chosen instead of one.
Ultraviolet disinfection
A well, a cistern, or a boil water advisory in your area.
Passes water under an ultraviolet lamp, which stops bacteria and viruses reproducing. It adds nothing to the water and changes nothing about the taste.
Worth it when: Homes not on treated municipal water. On municipal supply it is usually unnecessary, and we will tell you so.
Whole-home filtration
Sediment in the water, staining in sinks and tubs, or a smell of chlorine throughout the house.
Filters everything entering the house, ahead of the softener and every fixture.
Worth it when: Homes with visible sediment or iron, and anyone who wants chlorine taken out of shower and bath water rather than just drinking water.
Why there are no prices on this page
A softener has to be sized to the hardness of your water and the number of people using it. A filter has to match what is actually in the supply. Quoting a figure before testing would mean pricing a problem nobody has measured yet, and it is the reason water treatment gets oversold.
The water test is free and there is no obligation.
We will tell you when you do not need something.
